THEATRICAL PERFORMANCE

 

Social issues such as identity crisis, beauty standards, and the impact of social media are at the core of Alethea Dreams, which premiered in 2019 at Teatro Laura Alvim, written and directed by Rafael Souza-Ribeiro.

THEATER–FILM

Following the success of Alethea Dreams on stage, the project expanded into the audiovisual realm in 2021. Sponsored by Instituto CCR, the play was adapted into a film — a hybrid between theater and cinema — shot inside a theater transformed into a large-scale film set. The entire production was filmed using 4K cameras, one of which was dedicated exclusively to capturing behind-the-scenes footage that became part of the narrative. Actor direction was led by Miwa Yanagizawa, while overall direction was handled by Jorge Nassaralla.
